SEZ "Lotus" and Astrakhan State University join efforts in training specialists for SEZ tenants
Today the Astrakhan State University(ASU) hosted regular career guidance event of the SEZ Lotus Personnel Council, aimed at informing students about the enterprises being created and their staffing needs. Within the framework of this event PJSC SEZ Lotus and ASU, as well as ASU and SEZ tenant MedInTech signed a cooperation agreement. The documents formalized the intentions of the parties to work together in preparation of highly qualified specialists according to the needs of SEZ Lotus tenants.

“SEZ "Lotus" is a large-scale project of strategic importance not only for the Astrakhan region, but also for the South of Russia in the whole. It is supported by Russian President Vladimir Putin and under his constant control. The cooperation of our university with the SEZ, I am sure, will help to raise the industry of the region to a new level. Any structure requires professional staffing, and we would like to become a core scientific and personnel center for residents of the SEZ,” acting rector of the ASU Konstantin Markelov noted in his welcoming speech.

The first deputy minister of industry, transport and natural resources of the Astrakhan region, the chairman of SEZ "Lotus" Board of directors Sergey Kuchumov and the first deputy minister of education and science of the Astrakhan region Sergey Frolov addressed the students with welcoming speeches.
Special Economic Zone "Lotus" is the only economic project of the region in which a lot of different high-tech productions will be concentrated at once, which means that different specialists can find jobs there.

"Today, 8 companies are the tenants of the SEZ "Lotus", the declared investments amount to more than 24 billion rubles. They will create at least 850 jobs. According to the forecast calculations, the number of employees in the SEZ "Lotus" by 2026 on a cumulative total will be about 4,000 people. More than 40 enterprises will be created," said Sergey Milushkin, Director General of PJSC "SEZ "Lotus". He stressed that interaction between SEZ "Lotus" and the university will not be limited only by training of personnel for tenants; for further development of the project, which directly depends on the development of the region, its logistics potential (primarily as a key Russian point on the route of the international transport corridor "North-South") it is necessary to use the scientific potential of the university for joint research, markets analysis, etc. Therefore, both technical and humanitarian experts will be in great demand in the project.
The Director General of PJSC MedInTech Ramazan Fayziev told about the staffing needs for production of the third-generation medical syringes, the main type of specialists - biologists, chemists, physicists, technologists. The company together with the university has already outlined the main areas of cooperation and consolidated them having signed the cooperation agreement.

Another tenant of the SEZ - the company "Gexa-Lotos" announced the start of recruitment in the second quarter of this year. Its Director Pavel Tsutsura said that the first stage of production is planned for this time. It should be noted that this tenant is building enterprise for the production of geosynthetic materials for the road industry in the SEZ "Lotus". At the initial stage, operators of extrusion lines and weaving equipment, OTC specialists, mechanics and other specialists are required.
The first foreign tenant of the SEZ "Lotus" - the company "Atef-Russ" (the founder - Azerbaijan's ATEF), which is building a plant for the production of transformer equipment, will also begin recruitment soon. The Director General Valery Vypritsky noted that the total need for personnel until 2023 will be 244 people.
Alexander Rebrov, Director General of Monocrystal NPO, also addressed the students. About a month ago at the Russian Investment Forum in Sochi his company signed an agreement of intentions to implement an investment project of silicon monocrystals growing and production of solar panels from them in the SEZ "Lotus" and this year it plans to obtain the tenant status. The estimated number of employees of the future enterprise will be more than 300 people.

At the end of the event PJSC "SEZ "Lotus" and the Astrakhan State University signed a cooperation agreement for effective cooperation in creation of the personnel management system of the SEZ "Lotus", training of specialists at the requirements of tenants, targeted training and retraining of specialists and other areas of activity.
